This was a commission for an indie author looking to evoke a dreamlike reality where everyone else in the world seemed to be sleeping. I went ahead and combined a few stock photos (a dust storm in Dubai and a couple sitting on a dock) so that it looked like they were overlooking a slumbering metropolis. The fog behind them seemed a natural addition.
